Karen Bocksel
Founder
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Cathleen has previously served in leadership roles at multiple non-profit organizations. Most recently she served as the director of major and planned gifts at Bideawee. She has a Masters of Science Non-Profit Management from the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy, New School University. Cathleen was an avid equestrian and has roots in the North Fork Community.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR,
PATH INTL. CERTIFIED REGISTERED INSTRUCTOR
Gravitating to horses at an early age, Jill trained and competed in hunter-jumper and dressage for many years. An experience volunteering at a Special Olympics riding program sparked a passion for Therapeutic Riding and lead her to pursue her PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and Mentor. While preferring to be at the barn, she can also be found enjoying the beach and outdoors with her son.

Shannon was raised in Connecticut and attended University of Connecticut earning her degree in Animal Science with an emphasis on Equine Studies. She moved to Long Island with her husband and growing family in 2005 and received her Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification in 2008. Shannon headed a large therapeutic riding program prior to coming to CTREE in 2009. When she is not teaching lessons, you can find her on the hiking the trails with her dogs and spending time with her friends and family.
ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Jennifer is an admin, graphic designer, web developer, and techie living in East Hampton. Nonprofit work is near and dear to her heart. She has worked with many local nonprofits designing websites, developing brands, and expanding marketing and communications. Some of her favorite things are problem solving and information organizing. She loves animals and just might learn to ride a horse one day.
PATH INTL. CERTIFIED REGISTERED INSTRUCTOR
Jess is an avid equestrian and educator. She has a decade of experience at First Blue LLC, a Hamptons show barn, as well as a degree in early childhood education from Walden University. Jess loves blending her two passions to help all of our participants reach and exceed their goals!
